The medium-density cork allows adequate damping without stifling the audio. The natural properties of cork will reduce static between the playing surface and the album.

What sets these mats apart is the proprietary cork that Analog Restorations uses. Imported from Portugal and precision cut in the USA, this cork contains no fillers and is free of any gaps in the surface. Those fillers and gaps are something commonly found in lesser quality cork mats. This processing keeps the density and construction 100% consistent and allows the surface to have a unique, soft, suede-like feel. .

When the image is applied it is dyed into the surface. It is then finished with a process that locks in the color and clarity of the image. All this is done without changing the surface of the cork so that the surface touching the album stays soft and non abrasive.

Features:
11.9” in diameter, allowing slight overhang of the lead-in groove. This keeps the record flat and allows you to easily grasp and pick up your records.
.15” thick - this is about the thickness of most rubber mats and it allows for the mat to function perfectly on tables that lack a VTA adjustment.
