Typically when you here the phrase, "The stage has been set." as it relates to the Super Bowl it's in context of the two teams facing off for the Lombardi Trophy. And while we appreciate the spirit of athletic competition as much as the next person, this year our focus will be much more... well... focused, on the literal stage. The one for the halftime show. Why? Because this year is history. This is the first hip-hop based halftime show in the history of the Super Bowl. Epic, important, and ground-breaking all combined as adjectives don't begin to cover the importance of this.
Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop, and Kendrick Lamar. All on one stage. All representing for hip-hop. All making history. And we're here for it!
So to honor these leaders, pioneers, and trailblazers we're giving them their own section here on the site. To celebrate their music, their accomplishments, and their contributions to the lives of literally millions upon millions of us. We'll see them all together live on stage on February 13th for 12 minutes while they make history but their music is available here for you to honor them as often as you'd like.
