General Shipping Policies
Rustic Records is not responsible for items not delivered due to a data entry error at checkout. It is the purchaser's responsibility to verify accuracy of the address the item will be sent to BEFORE completing the checkout process. If the purchaser realizes the error prior to shipping we are more than happy to correct the address in our system. If the purchaser realizes the error after the item has been shipped it is the purchaser's responsibility to contact the delivery service being utilized to intercept and reroute the package, NOT Rustic Records. Any fees to be collected for that by the carrier are exclusively the responsibility of the purchaser, NOT Rustic Records.
We are not responsible for items damaged in transit. We take every reasonable precaution we can with our packaging but we can not guard against handling practices from other people/companies nor can we constantly financially insure their mishandling of items. We will not offer replacement items under any circumstances for cosmetic sleeve defects upon arrival. USPS Media Mail, our method of shipping, is not insured. If you would like to upgrade to USPS Priority Shipping please contact us. USPS Priority Shipping automatically insures your order for up to $100 and a higher amount can be added if your order exceeds $100. Any damage claims on orders with USPS insurance on them must be handled directly with USPS. We also offer third-party insurance on every order which is pre-selected on every order. If unselected, we are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or non-delivery of any kind. See below for additional details regarding this service and our policies in regards to it.
It is the responsibility of the purchaser to provide a safe, secure location for delivery of your item. If you do not feel confident you can provide a safe location and loss, theft, damage or non-delivery of any sort may occur please elect to have us ship the item to a different location and also please consider adding insurance and possibly even requiring a signature. These are small steps to take to help ensure your item(s) arrive safely. Insurance and Signature Required Delivery are services Rustic Records can add on to your order but there are fees associated with each. The purchaser MUST put these add ons in place prior to shipping. Once a package has left we are unable to alter those factors. The features must be paid for in advance of us, Rustic Records, adding them on.
Shipping Insurance
The option to utilize shipping insurance is pre-selected on every transaction on our site. If that option is unselected, an action that you as the consumer must make both a conscious decision and deliberate action to do, we are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or non-delivery of any kind. If the insurance is unselected you, the consumer, are also met with a disclaimer stating we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages however, per our previous stated policy, we will also not be responsible for damages either. If you have concerns regarding the condition your package may arrive in we strongly encourage you to utilize the insurance offered at checkout or contact us regarding upgrading your shipping to USPS Priority Shipping as covered above.
Please note that for the purposes of insurance, damage, as referred to above in the context of loss, theft, damage, or non-delivery, refers strictly to records that have been chipped, broken, or are otherwise unplayable upon arrival. Small cosmetic issues to record sleeves that have occurred in transit DO NOT constitute or qualify as damage, are not subject to coverage of any kind from our offered insurance, and neither full refunds nor exchanges will be issued for this type of incident. If the third-party shipping insurance was retained/left selected a partial credit may be issued however, it is done so at the sole discretion of Rustic Records and the consumer should not presume that a partial credit will be issued. If the shipping insurance was unselected at checkout no credit will be offered.
Turntable & Speaker Shipping Policies
A handling fee is present on every turntable and speaker order. This fee will go to cover insuring your order and also upgrading the delivery to being signature required to complete. We will not ship turntables or speakers without these two provisions in place and as such, these two provisions are non-negotiable. Turntables and speakers are currently shipped exclusively with UPS. As such, turntables and speakers can not be shipped to P.O. Box addresses, they must be sent to a physical address where someone must be present to sign for the delivery.
Lead times on turntables can also be lengthy at times as we order from the manufacturer once you've ordered with us. Pro-Ject then ships the turntables to us where we inspect them, set them up when applicable, re-pack them, and then ship them to you. Please be aware of the potential for this process to take several weeks and please note we do not have the option to have things rushed/expedited to us from Pro-Ject.
Shipping To A Non-U.S. Destination
We are proud to offer shipping to Canada exclusively via UPS however any taxes, duties, import fees, or extra charges of any kind are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Rustic Records will not collect or remit any such fees on your behalf and your purchase price paid for goods and shipping charges do not contain any of those fees. Completing a purchase with Rustic Records that has a Canadian shipping address is your agreement to these terms. Should you have any questions regarding shipping to a non-U.S. destination please contact us for clarification prior to purchase. Shipping rates applied to any order being shipped to Canada are pre-determined and pre-negotiated rates between Shopify and UPS and are applied automatically at checkout. We at Rustic Records do not set, estimate, apply, or determine in any way your shipping rates.
