US3 - Hand On The Torch (Music On Vinyl)

One of the most important (and criminally underrated) hip-hop records of all time. This was groundbreaking at the time of its initial release in 1993. Though jazzy elements in hip-hop weren't exactly new, this album was given unprecedented access to the Blue Note vault for sampling and was even released under the Blue Note label. It features samples from artists such as Herbie Hancock, Art Blakey, Thelonious Monk and more! If you appreciate a great sample, mellow vibes, and jazz-laced boom-bap style hip-hop this album is truly a must own. Quite frankly, your hip-hop section in your collection isn't complete without it.

Also, at under $40, this is a steal. Originals of this record in good condition can easily approach $100 and can get up to $125-150 very quickly. So for this to also be a Music On Vinyl audiophile pressing at that price, well, that just makes it even better.
